This Carvin AE185 is an incredibly versatile, semi acoustic Guitar, that was first made in 1994.This Guitar is one made in America in the first years of production in the 90's.

The Carvin custom shop allowed the customer to select from hundreds of different features that you could upgrade from the standard model,this Guitar features a cream finish, upgraded black hardware, cream pick up covers and 2 coil splitters.

As the Carvin Website said of the AE185 "It's unique semi-hollow acoustic/electric configuration allows you to jump from electric lead riffs to acoustic tone with ease, giving you essentially two instruments in one."

A  ribbon tranducer pickup under the saddle gives you a lush,acoustic sound which is both warm and bright due to the mahogany body with Spruce top.

The 2 C22 humbucking pickups, with 'custom wound vintage plain enamel wire, brings out the harmonicly rich tone and sustain of the guitar'. The two coil splitters can then halve the humbuckers into single coils , giving you another tone altogether.With the 3 way switch allowing you to select neck, bridge or acoustic pickup, you also have a Pan control where you can blend acoustic and electric pickups.The guitar then also has Dual output jacks, allowing you to have a seperate acoustic ,and electric signal  through two different amps or combine the two.
